About the QA Technician job
The Quality Assurance Technician conducts internal audits and ensures quality from raw materials to finished products. They validate QC checks, collect reference samples, perform sensory analysis, and gather samples for microbiological testing. Additional duties include reporting non-conformances, identifying training needs, and compiling technical reports.
Key tasks
- Conduct GMP audits, validate production quality control checks, and ensure raw materials meet specifications.
- Report, investigate, and close out non-conformances; escalate serious issues to the Technical Manager.
- Perform sensory analysis, gather samples for microbiological testing, and collect daily reference samples as per requirements.
- Compile technical reports, analyse data (e.g., waste monitoring), and collaborate with Operations and NPD teams to meet customer needs.
About You
- The successful candidate shall have some Quality Control/Assurance experience within a food production environment.
- FMCG experience would be considered if the candidate has worked in a QA/QC position.

The QA Technician job (ref:8860) is paying £26,000 to £28,000 per annum, according to your experience.
The working hours are 9:00am - 5:00pm with flexibility for earlier starts and later finishes.
The site is in Fife and is commutable from Edinburgh, Dunfermline, Cowdenbeath, Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy and Cupar.
The package includes Pension: 5% Employee and 4% Employer, 30 days holiday including bank holidays.
