Grafton Banks Finance is partnering with an exciting business in the Lewes area that is looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a temporary basis for an initial 6-month period. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting month-end processes, as well as managing accounts payable and receivable duties.
Key responsbilities:
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with VAT returns preparation
- Handle credit card reconciliations
- Manage fixed asset and prepayment accounting
- Process accounts payable tasks, including raising PO numbers, invoicing, and general ledger coding
- Oversee expense processing
- Support the preparation of cash flow forecasts
- Assist with ad hoc tasks, including reconciliations, financial analysis, and project support
What we are looking for:
- Available to start at short notice or immediately
- Experience with month-end close processes
- AAT Level 4 qualification (desirable)
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP accounting systems
