Job Profile

As aHousing and Assets Project Manager, you will take charge of multiple property-related projects, overseeing both capital developments and initiatives aimed at enhancing services. Reporting to the Director of Housing & Assets, you will work closely with various teams within Housing and Property Services to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with organisational goals.

Duties:
  • Lead the management and delivery of property-related projects, with a focus on both capital development and service improvement initiatives.
  • Assist the Housing and Property department in defining project goals, assessing resource needs, identifying risks, outlining benefits, and setting clear project timelines.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of all project phases.
  • Monitor project budgets, ensuring all expenditures are tracked and remain within financial limits.
  • Provide regular progress updates, addressing any project deviations, risks, or issues, and proposing effective solutions.
  • Manage refurbishments and property asset-related projects, ensuring clear definition of requirements, appropriate cost allocation, and fulfilment of internal and external reporting responsibilities.
  • Capture and track the progress of various service improvement activities across the Housing Division, ensuring efficient resource allocation and sequencing.
  • Identify potential project risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, continuously assessing the effectiveness of risk management plans.
  • Develop and maintain systems for project documentation and tracking to ensure transparency and streamlined reporting.

Skills & Experience:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of property management and construction, including acquisition, development, planned maintenance, refurbishment, and disposals.
  • A recognised qualification in Project Management or strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Proven experience managing projects related to property and assets, particularly in areas of acquisition and development.
  • Skilled in analysing performance data and taking action to drive project success.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Hours of Work:
  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday: 9:00am 5:00pm
  • Hybrid working available
