Cook- Lewes

Are you a passionate cook with a flair for creating delicious meals? Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join their team. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in operating the café kitchen and ensuring the delivery of safe and high-quality food to customers. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and join a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.

Flexible days available with this role, you can either work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday or alternatively just Saturday. If you are happy to do all 4 days, that is also an option.

The working hours are 08:00-16:30.

Due to location, you must have your own vehicle and be able to drive for this role.

Key Tasks:

  • Take day-to-day responsibility for operating the café kitchen on head cook days, with weekends off.
  • Ensure the kitchen operates safely and legally, maintaining consistently high standards.
  • Be the café expert on safe food delivery in the absence of the Head Cook.
  • Manage daily priorities, ensuring day-to-day routines are carried out and recorded appropriately.
  • Plan the daily preparation of fresh food items for service, guiding and maximising the time of the casual staff.
  • Ensure the full menu is available at all times, while being mindful of wastage.
  • Guide customers in their choices regarding allergens and dietary requirements.

Requirements:

  • Previous cooking experience.
