Are you a passionate cook with a flair for creating delicious meals? Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join their team. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in operating the café kitchen and ensuring the delivery of safe and high-quality food to customers. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and join a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.

Flexible days available with this role, you can either work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday or alternatively just Saturday. If you are happy to do all 4 days, that is also an option.

The working hours are 08:00-16:30.

Due to location, you must have your own vehicle and be able to drive for this role.

Key Tasks:

Take day-to-day responsibility for operating the café kitchen on head cook days, with weekends off.
Ensure the kitchen operates safely and legally, maintaining consistently high standards.
Be the café expert on safe food delivery in the absence of the Head Cook.
Manage daily priorities, ensuring day-to-day routines are carried out and recorded appropriately.
Plan the daily preparation of fresh food items for service, guiding and maximising the time of the casual staff.
Ensure the full menu is available at all times, while being mindful of wastage.
Guide customers in their choices regarding allergens and dietary requirements.

Requirements:

Previous cooking experience.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practises.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong communication skills to effectively guide and train casual staff.
Must have your own vehicle and be able to drive due to location.
