A dynamic local authority in the South of England is seeking an experienced Interim Capital Finance Lead to oversee the capital finance function. This pivotal role focuses on managing the council's capital program and requires a strategic understanding of financing, grants, and borrowing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take the helm and oversee the overall capital program, ensuring effective coordination and reporting.
  • Distribute templates quarterly to collect and aggregate data into comprehensive reports.
  • Manage financing, grants, and borrowing activities related to the capital program.
  • Identify opportunities to save borrowing costs through the strategic use of grants.
  • Assist in the budget-setting process for an additional financial year of the 10-year plan, ensuring alignment with the capital program objectives.

Qualifications:
