SEMH Teacher needed for a Secondary School in Brighton

We working with a fantastic provision in Lewes who are looking for the right individual to join their team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting children with Social and Emotional Needs, and able to teach KS3/KS4. The organisation follows a Therapeutic Approach. A strong sense of behaviour management is important.

About the role:

  • A variety of subjects (Specialism can vary)

  • You would be in the one School ASAP, Full time..

  • Working with students who have challenging behaviour, attachment and trauma.

  • This is a setting where having a calm, nurturing and empathetic nature is key

  • Some experience within SEND / SEMH preferable not necessity

  • Passionate about supporting students and their social and emotional journey

What do I need?

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Driving License

  • Flexibility, enthusiasm and motivation to deliver great lessons

  • Understanding of SEMH

  • Understanding of Secondary Curriculum

  • Behaviour management skills

  • An ability to adhere to and implement schools’ various policies
