Warehouse Operations Manager- Lewes

  • Lead the management of incoming and outgoing goods operations with a strategic focus.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of stock movements to trade partners and direct-to-consumer (D2C) order fulfilment.
  • Support the Production team in delivering finished goods according to plans.
  • Be accountable for the safe and compliant operations of warehousing, packaging, and fulfilment activities at the Lewes facility.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures to promote safe and effective practises.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to achieve organisational goals and performance excellence.
  • Oversee accurate stock management and inventory control in the warehouse.
  • Train, mentor, and develop staff to enhance their capabilities and performance.
  • Inspire the team with energy and motivation, adhering to the organisation's core values in all decision-making processes.
  • Own and manage department key performance indicators (KPIs), using them as tools for continuous improvement and productivity.
  • Identify, analyse, and mitigate potential risks to ensure operational integrity.
  • Proven experience relevant to warehouse management and operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehousing, shipping, and inventory procedures.
  • Technical confidence in understanding Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional numerical skills along with a strong understanding of data analysis.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A keen eye for detail, paired with a results-driven mindset.
  • Great leadership behaviours that promote an inclusive and supportive work environment.
  • Ability to manage change effectively and address issues as they arise.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
