We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Management Accountant eager to continue with their development within Finance. This role is based in Lewes and requires a keen eye for detail and excellent numerical abilities.

Description

As the Assistant Management Accountant, your main responsibilities will include:

Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense entries and invoices.
Accruals and prepayments
Ensure compliance with accounting deadlines.
Prepare and recommend budgeting for the financial forecast.
Support with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts.
Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
VAT Returns
Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding sector rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards.

Profile

A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:

Practical understanding of ERP accounting software.
Experience working in a Finance team, supporting production of Management Accounts.
Ideally AAT Qualified
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Superior attention to detail.
Great communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in a team.
Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
