Summary
Our client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join the Mechanical Engineering Team to support their French facility.
Our client is looking for someone who is proficient in using 3D CAD tools and be able to create new or edit existing CAD drawings. Someone who will be methodical and organised and able to deal with multiple projects at any one time, as their projects can last anywhere between a few days to several months.

Essential Skills
- HNC/HND or Degree level in mechanical engineering.
- A minimum 1 years’ experience within a mechanical design department.
- SolidWorks solid modelling and detail drawing.
- AutoCAD LT2004 onwards experience essential.
- Computer Literate, able to create & maintain MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint documents to high standard.
- Excellent standards of verbal and written communication.
Bilingual, English & French. - Full driving license and passport.
Tasks and Duties
- The design and modification of sheet and extruded metal housings for their product range.
- The design of suitable brackets for mounting of their products in customer applications.
- To provide 3D models of new product to assist in tendering\quoting processes.
- The design of new and maintenance of existing cable assy drawings.
- The design of new and maintenance of existing system wiring
- diagrams.
- Close liaison with Production Support & Quality dept’s on best practice for cable assembly manufacture.
- Close liaison with worldwide sales team on cable assembly and system wiring requirements.
- Visit to customer sites in both the UK and worldwide.
- Production support for both the UK and worldwide Production facilities.
- To contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed and directed by Team or Department Management.
- To carry out any other duties as deemed necessary by your Department Manager
