My client is a well-established and reputable automotive business, committed to providing top-quality service and ensuring their customers’ vehicles are in pristine condition. They are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Vehicle Valeter/Detailer to join their team. Job Description
As a Vehicle Valeter/Detailer, you will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles are cleaned, polished, and detailed to the highest standards. Your attention to detail and dedication will contribute to the overall presentation and quality of our vehicles for sale and after service.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and detail vehicles, both interior and exterior, to a high standard.
- Wash, polish, and vacuum vehicles, ensuring they are spotless for delivery or display.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and upholstery, removing stains and marks where necessary.
- Apply protective coatings such as wax or polish to protect vehicle surfaces.
- Ensure all areas of the vehicle are cleaned, including undercarriage and engine bay where applicable.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure all work is completed to a high standard.
- Report any vehicle damage or issues to the workshop manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the valeting area.
- Assist in vehicle preparation for photography, displays, or customer handovers.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience as a Valeter/Detailer or in a similar role (preferred but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
- A full, clean driving license.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of valeting tools, products, and techniques (preferred).
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and a team player.
Benefits
- Competitive salary of up to £35,000
- Ideal working week of 08:00 till 17:30 Monday to Friday with 1 in 2 Saturdays paid as overtime at time and a half
- 20 Days of annual holiday plus bank holidays plus long service leave
