TalentEdge are supporting a leading and award-winning business in the Leyland area in finding a new addition to their finance team. This is a newly created, permanent Accounts Assistant role to join their team of 4 due to expansion. This is an all-round role, assisting all members of the finance team when required, therefore a good opportunity to learn all areas of accounts.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing purchase ledger invoices and receipting in
  • Checking invoices which arrive in the Accounts Payable inbox
  • Providing cover to the PL supervisor when on annual leave, covering statement recs, queries processing supplier payments and dealing with incoming calls from suppliers
  • Learning and understanding the AR function how this is carried out by the credit controller and providing holiday cover
  • Ad-hoc account reconciliations
  • Credit card statement reconciliation
  • Reporting on stock

Experience in a previous accounts assistant, purchase ledger or sales ledger role is essential.
