Acorn by SYNERGIE is looking for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client, a leading FMCG manufacturer based in Leyland, Lancashire.

We're seeking a time-served, HNC-qualified engineer with at least 2 years of post-apprenticeship maintenance experience, ideally within an FMCG hygienic production environment. Your key role will be to provide expert engineering support to the production team, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime.

Responsibilities:

* Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, Food Safety, and GMP compliance.

* Work within a specialist Engineering Maintenance team to keep production machinery running efficiently.

* Provide proactive and reactive engineering support to optimize plant performance.

* Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks to minimize breakdowns.

* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment faults and malfunctions promptly.

* Assist with root cause analysis to enhance long-term reliability and efficiency.

* Play an active role in Continuous Improvement projects to drive operational excellence.

Shift Pattern:

This role operates on a 4-5-5 rotating days and nights 12-hour shift pattern, repeating every 8 weeks:

4 on, 5 off, 5 on, 4 off, 5 on, 5 off.
