We are seeking a passionate and skilled Senior Sous Chef to join a high-end gastro pub with a strong farm-to-fork ethos. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented chef with a great culinary background to thrive in a creative, quality-focused environment.

Senior Sous Chef Ideal Profile:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef within a high-end gastro pub or fine dining establishment
  • Strong passion for seasonal, farm-to-fork ingredients and crafting exceptional dishes
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and support the kitchen team
  • A creative flair for menu development, with a focus on quality and innovation
  • Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations

Senior Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth daily operation of the kitchen
  • Assist in creating seasonal menus that align with the farm-to-fork philosophy
  • Manage and mentor the team, ensuring high standards of preparation, presentation, and service
  • Maintain inventory levels and work with local suppliers to source fresh, high-quality ingredients
  • Oversee compliance with health and safety regulations and uphold cleanliness standards
  • Lead the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring consistent quality and efficiency
