About the Role

We are seeking a Band 3 Podiatry Assistant to join a supportive team. The role involves providing essential diabetic foot screenings for service users, including risk assessments, sensation checks, and pulse palpations. You will play a key role in observing changes to patients' feet, offering health advice, and ensuring timely follow-up care when necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct diabetic foot screenings, including assessing foot health risks and using a 10g monofilament for sensation testing.
  • Provide foot care advice tailored to each service user's needs.
  • Recognise and prioritize urgent referrals and manage follow-ups as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and enter data on the computer system.
About You
  • Skills: Comfortable with patient interactions, skilled in pulse palpation, and able to use assessment tools.
  • Computer Skills: Must be computer literate to record and manage patient information accurately.
  • Attention to Detail: Able to notice subtle changes and identify risks in foot health.
  • Healthcare experience essential (NHS experience desirable)
