This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join a company that is a specialist in there field and continue to grow. A minimum of 1 years experience is required for this role and previous experience working in an engineering workshop would also be beneficial. The successful candidate will be working closely with the Welding time ensure that finished welds are smooth and presentable for customers. Duties of this role will include:

  • Set up and operate grinding machines (e.g., surface, cylindrical, tool grinders)
  • Operating hand grinder
  • Select appropriate grinding wheels for the job
  • Measure and inspect materials before and after grinding
  • Monitor the grinding process and adjust settings as needed
  • Check for defects and ensure quality finishes
  • Maintain and clean grinding machines
  • Follow safety procedures and wear proper protective gear
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Adjust machine settings for optimal results
