Your new companyHays are recruiting on behalf of a two-form entry primary school in Leyland, who are searching for a general Teaching Assistant to work in their Year 3 class. The school is well-run with an established and friendly leadership team. Transport links are good, with secure on-site parking free for staff. The school is easily accessible by bus for those who don't drive.Your new roleThe successful applicant will work as a general Teaching Assistant in a Year 1 class. This is a diverse classroom with children who have varying levels of ability. There is always the potential to move round different year groups depending on the schools' needs, so you will need to be flexible and adapt your skills to meet the needs of the children. This is particularly important when working with SEN pupils, as they work based on pupil ability rather than age.What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful in securing this position, recent experience working with children within the last 2 years would be beneficial, for example, in an educational setting or as a support worker. As the schools are recruiting immediately, it would be ideal if you could jump straight into the role, however, do not let this put you off applying, as we are always receiving new roles.
