Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to maintain and inspect their fleet of commercial vehicles, primarily Scania and Volvo tippers, grab waggons, and low loaders.
Your Role:
As an HGV Fitter / Vehicle Technician, you will be at the forefront of keeping our client's fleet in prime condition. Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing and Repairing Faults: Accurately identify issues with commercial vehicles and carry out effective repairs.
- Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections every six weeks to ensure vehicles are road-worthy and compliant.
- Ad hoc Duties: Assist with on-road call-outs and other tasks as directed by the Workshop Manager.
What We're Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Experience: Proven experience in the diagnosis, maintenance, servicing, and repair of commercial vehicles.
- Technical Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques and diagnostic tools.
- Training Advantage: Previous attendance of manufacturers' training courses is highly advantageous.
- Licences: A full UK driving licence is essential. Possession of an HGV licence is a bonus!
