We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant school team. This role involves working full-time from January 2025 until July 2025, supporting classes in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about contributing to the educational development of young children.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Take classes in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2, ensuring a consistent and effective learning environment.
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of lessons and classroom activities under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Support pupils’ learning objectives and assess their progress, providing feedback to teachers.
  • Manage classroom resources effectively to enhance learning experiences.
  • Implement school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and behaviour policies.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the UK primary education curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classes independently and support teaching objectives.
  • Commitment to professional development and learning.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
