This role offers an exciting opportunity to support Key Stage 2 (KS2) pupils in both a teaching assistant and class cover capacity.The Role:As a KS2 HLTA, you will provide support to the class teacher in the mornings and deliver class cover across KS2 in the afternoons. This role requires someone with flexibility, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide teaching assistant support in the mornings, working closely with the class teacher to assist with lessons and pupil engagement.
  • Deliver class cover across the whole of KS2 in the afternoons, following the provided lesson plans.
  • Support the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a productive learning environment.
  • Adapt lessons and activities to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a consistent and supportive approach.

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working within KS2, ideally in both teaching assistant and class cover roles.
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work with different classes and year groups.
  • A positive, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude.
