Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting for a Buddy Coordinator to work in HMP Garth, (you will be based at HMP Garth but you may be asked to travel to other prisons in the cluster including HMPs: Wymott, Preston, Kirkham and Lancaster Farms). This is a part-time position and you will work 22.5 hours a week across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The salary is £25,623 pro-rata.Main duties and responsibilities As a Buddy Coordinator you will coordinate the training, supervision and management of the Buddy Support Worker Programme. You will provide high quality, innovative, holistic, responsive support, advice and intervention to ensure the needs of those who have health and social care needs are supported.Person Specification

  • Have 24 months experience working with older people, individual's in the Criminal Justice system or social care setting.
  • Have excellent communication skills both written and verbally with IT skills in word, excel and outlook.
  • Have experience arranging and developing group activities, workshops and one-to-one sessions.
  • Be familiar working within quality assurance frameworks.
  • Have a knowledge of current diversity issues and high levels of political awareness and sensitivity.
