You will be able to make a positive a positive impact working alongside a great team.The roleAs Senior Statutory Accountant you will oversee statutory and regulatory reporting, ensure the overall accuracy of accounts in line with accounting standards and compliance with statutory reporting requirements. Responsibilities

  • Financial controls & governance / framework.
  • Lead the production of the Society’s Financial Statements and regulatory reporting for both the Group and individual entities.
  • Lead year end audit process and liaise with external auditors & other advisors as required.
  • Internal subject matter expert on accounting policies, support period end close.
  • Pension scheme reporting.
  • Monitor compliance with the Society financial controls and accounting policies.
  • Support in ensuring the Society’s balance sheet accurately reflects all assets and liabilities through the balance sheet reconciliation review process.
  • Meet all statutory regulatory requirements.
  • Delivery of clean year end audit.
  • Timely delivery of interim and year end statutory accounts for Group & subsidiaries.

About you

  • Qualified ACA or ACCA with an Audit practice background and 3 years post qualified experience.
  • Solid experience of statutory reporting and group accounts level.
  • Previously led audit engagements and experienced in consolidating group accounts.
  • Strong communication skills, you will be excellent at managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
