Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Remuneration: 25,000 - 30,000 per annum

Are you a driven and detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers? Our client, a leading organisation, is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their team in Lichfield. As the Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our client's organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Take ownership of the balance sheet reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Management of Company Credit Cards: Manage access, collate statement information, reconcile, and enter journal into the accounting system.
- Sales Reporting: Provide live tracking reports to monitor sales performance.
- Month-end, Quarter-end, and Year-end Reporting: Assist with data cut off and reporting requirements to ensure accurate financial statements.
- Query Resolution and Analytics: Act as the main point of contact for resolving queries from SLT heads and provide requested analytics.
- Accounts Payable Assistance: Approve final invoices and ensure compliance with financial policies.
- Monthly Sales Support: Serve as the point of contact for delegated offices on finance, invoicing queries, and assist with credit memos.
- Fixed Asset Register: Maintain and update the fixed asset register accurately.
- Expenses Processing and Reporting: Check, approve, or reject expenses in line with policy and prepare subsequent reports.
- Adhoc Reporting Assistance: Provide support in compiling reports, such as ONS statutory reporting and marketing VAT calculations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- ACCA OR CIMA - Part Qualified and actively studying
- Previous experience in a similar finance role is desirable
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Excel and other accounting software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
