Are you a driven and detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers? Our client, a leading organisation, is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their team in Lichfield. As the Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our client's organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports
  • Raising sales invoiced and credit memos
  • Process and monitor invoices, expenses, and credit control
  • Conduct reconciliations of accounts and resolve any discrepancies
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information
  • Maintain financial records and documentation in line with company policies
  • Provide assistance with ad hoc financial projects as required

Qualifications and Skills:

  • AAT qualified or actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification
  • Previous experience in a similar finance role is desirable
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Excel and other accounting software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
