Our client, a leading organisation in the West Midlands, is seeking an experienced Company Secretary to join their team on a 12-month, fixed-term contract. This role is pivotal in ensuring strong corporate governance, board support, and compliance with company law and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain corporate governance and compliance frameworks.
- Provide board-level support, including organising meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
- Ensure all statutory filings with Companies House and other regulators are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain statutory records and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Advising senior management on governance best practices, company law, and regulatory updates.
- Lead / support company secretarial projects.
Key Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience in a Company Secretary / Deputy Company Secretary role.
- Strong knowledge of UK company law, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working in a group legal function
