With a strong emphasis on safety, reliability, and customer service, we are looking for a dedicated Lift Service Supervisor to join our growing team in Newcastle.

Job Summary:As the Lift Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of lift service technicians and ensuring the efficient delivery of lift maintenance and repair services. You will work closely with clients to provide exceptional service and will take a proactive approach to safety, technical troubleshooting, and team development. This role is ideal for a skilled supervisor with experience in the lift and escalator industry, looking to advance their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of lift service technicians, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise.
  • Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repair work, ensuring timely service delivery.
  • Planning and supervising works, ensuring they are carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Supervising and organising the day-to-day activities of your engineering team.
  • Updating information and responding to messages using the company computer network.
  • Processing service reports, callout reports, client/consultant survey reports, thorough examination reports and client correspondence.
  • Investigating and reporting any accidents or incidents.
  • Conducting technical surveys/specific risk assessments/release training.
  • Communicating effectively with project managers, engineers and clients.
  • Liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain spare parts and oversee specialist sub-contractors’ works.

The ideal candidate should have a:

  • Strong understanding of lift maintenance, safety protocols, and relevant regulations. 
  • Keen eye for detail to ensure all safety measures are followed.
  • Current valid driving licence.
  • DBS check will be required.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the lift or escalator industry, ideally in a supervisory or team leader role.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Lift Maintenance or equivalent qualification (essential).
  • Strong knowledge of lift systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to handle complex technical issues.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, with an ability to work with diverse teams and clients.
  • Valid UK driver’s license (essential).
