Our client is a specialist provider of Water Treatment, Water Hygiene, and Legionella Control services. We have offices in Central London and the West Midlands and work for some of the UK’s leading public and private sector organisations. We combine our extensive technical expertise with our practical technology solutions to help our customers comply with their complex building compliance requirements.

Following a period of sustained growth and several new contract wins, we are seeking a new Account Manager with a demonstrable track record in the Water Treatment/ Water Hygiene industry.

The successful candidate will be a proven salesperson with a strong desire to ensure operational excellence, high levels of a customer satisfaction, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves. Whilst it is expected you will have prior industry experience; the role is open to candidates looking to take the next step-up in their career.

As an Account Manager for our client, you will be responsible for managing and expanding our business with existing customers, as well as being responsible acquiring new customers. Your role will involve building and maintaining strong relationships, understanding the needs of our customers, and ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services.

Hours of work & location:

This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with the flexibility to work from home as well as our offices. You will be expected to travel to our regional offices and to our customer's sites across the UK.

Reporting:

You will report directly to the Group’s Sales Director, and the role offers excellent career progression opportunities.

Main duties and responsibilities:

You will be a member of our highly successful and established sales team.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Build and develop client relationships
  • Demonstrating a detailed knowledge of our services and products
  • Effective contract management of existing accounts
  • Generation of new sales within your defined region
  • Promoting our products and services and ensuring existing and prospective customers are aware of the breadth of services provided by TECS
  • Develop and execute sales plans as set by the Sales Director
  • Meet GP targets
  • Coordinate sales proposals and customer presentations through to closing the sale
  • Manage customer satisfaction and escalate customer concerns for resolution
  • Where required, undertake water analysis/ testing and ensure the highest levels of customer reporting via our proprietary software (360 Compliance)
  • Drive the right behaviours that conform with our priorities around safety, teamwork, strategy and the highest standards of customer service

Qualifications & experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or looking for the next step up/ promotion
  • Previous experience working within Water Hygiene, Water Treatment, Process Water, Chemical Dosing, Cooling Towers, Closed Systems, Legionella industries
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Technical led service delivery
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
  • A strong appreciation of customer service and customer experience
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve sales targets
  • Excellent written English skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to prioritise work, remain calm and maintain standards when under pressure
  • Ability to take initiative, and when necessary, ability to be assertive
  • Competent user of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other cloud-based software platforms

Remuneration, annual leave, and benefits:
