OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate Senior Residential Care Worker to provide essential care and support to a children's residential home in Lichfield. You will be responsible for the direct care of children living in the home, offer high levels of engagement for and with children and be ambitious in achieving positive outcomes for them

Duties

  • Contributing to the young persons care plans and risk assessments, and reviews.
  • Forming positive, effective relationships with young people , their families and external agencies.
  • Ensuring the home is kept in a clean and tidy condition, adhering to the cleaning rota system, encouraging the young people to participate as appropriate.
  • Meeting the emotional and physical needs of our young people and assisting in the implementation of individual educational programs.
  • Providing support to the House Manager of the home whilst on shift and preforming senior duties as directed.
  • Being a fire marshal and first aider - designated person to evacuate the building in case of emergency and administer first aid
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Experience in working with children and/or young people
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to really help and support our young people.
  • Driving Licence
  • Ideally an NVQ Level 3/4 in Children's residential care (Although training can be provided.
  • Excellent communication skills
