We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to build, wire, and modify electronic control systems and sub-assemblies to the highest standards. You will play a key role in supporting both in-house production and field installation, working on a diverse range of high-tech systems.

The Role:
So, what will you be doing as a Wirer Fitter?
- Assemble and wire control cubicles, panels, and sub-assemblies using technical drawings, wiring schedules, and circuit diagrams.
- Refurbish and modify returned equipment and install systems on customer premises.
- Conduct first-off/prototype builds, working closely with Engineering to resolve design issues.
- Ensure all builds meet company quality standards, addressing any material shortages or production issues.
- Support internal departments including Engineering, QHSE, and Supply Chain to resolve build challenges.
- Create live build documentation (DRS sheets) and follow all health & safety protocols.
- Mentor apprentices and support training to develop future talent.
- Support continuous improvement through 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
What are we looking for in our next Wirer Fitter?
- Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and conduct self-inspection.
- Awareness of Health & Safety, ESD, and environmental regulations.
- Familiarity with IPC 610/620 standards, soldering (J-STD-001), and ISO9001/14001 practices.
- Good communicator with attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ERP systems.
Qualifications & Desirable Skills
- GCSEs (Maths & English - Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
- Apprentice-trained, ideally in electrical or electronic engineering.
- IPC 610 & 620 certified.
- Experience with plumbing pipework for water-cooled equipment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools such as 5S and 7W.
Additional Requirements
- Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC level).
- Full UK driving license required.
- Willingness to work overtime and travel within the UK or internationally when needed.
