Finance Director – Lichfield (Full-time on-site)£150,000 + Substantial Equity Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially astute Finance Director to join a dynamic owner-managed business in Lichfield. This is a pivotal role for an experienced finance leader who will drive financial strategy, optimise performance, and support the owners in preparing for a successful exit within the next 3–5 years.

The Role

Reporting directly to the owners, you will:

  • Lead financial strategy, ensuring strong governance and commercial decision-making.
  • Play a key role in preparing the business for a future exit, working closely with advisors and potential investors.
  • Oversee M&A activity, ensuring seamless integration and value creation.
  • Manage financial planning, reporting, and forecasting to support growth.
  • Work hands-on in an entrepreneurial environment, driving operational and strategic improvements.
The Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will be:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Experienced in M&A transactions, with a proven track record of supporting business sales or acquisitions.
  • Familiar with owner-managed businesses, understanding the challenges and opportunities they present.
  • Commercially focused, with the ability to challenge, influence, and add value beyond the numbers.
  • Based within a commutable distance of Lichfield.
