Customer and Transport OperatorPermanent, Full-time7:30-16:00 working hours£26,000 - £28,000 per annumHybrid working after probationLichfield basedTransport/Logistics experience idealYour new roleThe main purpose of the customer and transport operator is to manage the outbound day to day groupage routes whilst communicating with all customers and answering any queries.Key duties
- Book deliveries with customers
- Arrange deliveries and collections
- Track shipments
- Deal with any supplier, internal and customer queries via telephone and email
- Deal with collection queries, re-routes, crossed labelled freight
- Manage and maintain transport and logistics records
- Liaising with any relevant teams
- Solving any arising issues
- Checking shipment documentation
- Continuously working on providing exceptional customer service whilst also maintaining cost-effective processes
What you'll need to succeed
- Knowledge and experience of logistics, transport, exports is ideal for this role but not essential
- GCSEs in Mathematics and English
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and to time limits
- Good team player, hard-working attitude
- Exceptional written and verbal English
