Sonic Summary

We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder for a permanent role with a well-known transport brand in Lichfield, Staffs.
The position offers a salary of £37,500 per annum plus a bonus opportunity, with 40 hours of work per week from Monday to Friday.
The role includes coordinating shipments in the UK and EU, managing an existing client base, and exploring new business opportunities.
Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in the transport industry, preferably in road transport, along with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of customs requirements and experience in operational and sales roles are advantageous for this position.

Coordinating shipments both in UK and EU
Working is existing client base and exploring new business opportunities
Invoicing and pricing
Customs entries for overseas shipments
Quotes, costing, booking and shipping
Tracking shipments from collection to delivery
Finding solutions to customer requirements
Responding to internal and external emails
Dealing with internal and external stakeholders including sub-contract hauliers and other transport providers

Required:

Experience in the freight forwarding industry (or similar)
2 years transport industry experience (preferred) - ideally in road transport
Strong organisational and problem solving skills
A collaborative approach with both internal and external stakeholder to ensure both import and export of goods
Knowledge of customs requirements, processes and procedures
Operational and sales (business development) experience is an advantage
Groupage experience (desirable)
