Job Title: Ocean Freight Forwarder Salary: £28,000 - £35,000Work Type : OfficeLocations: Lichfield

Duties:

  • Manage service operations efficiently, provide essential information, and prepare quotes for air and sea transportation.
  • Coordinate the movement of freight via air and sea.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service across all transportation channels, with a focus on ocean and air shipments.
  • Oversee the entire shipment process to ensure accurate and timely bookings.
  • Facilitate the processing of shipment details to avoid potential delays.
  • Engage with customers to deliver customised quotations that meet their specific requirements.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of customs regulations, handling of dangerous goods, and insurance protocols.
  • Collaborate with customs brokers, providing precise information for swift import clearance in compliance with regulations.
  • Identify and report potential claims, compiling necessary details to ensure prompt and professional processing according to company standards.
  • Interact with customers professionally and courteously at all times.
  • Support business development activities and initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and system updates to ensure data integrity.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 2 Years + Within a Freight Coordination
  • Experience with Ocean & Air Movements
  • Key Account Management
