We are hiring for a PLC Engineer to take on the automation and optimization of machinery and equipment. This is a dynamic industrial environment, where you'll play a crucial role in developing automation processes to improve efficiency and reliability in our client's production operations.

Duties of a PLC Engineer

You'll be joining the Engineering team and will take responsibility for:

  • Programming and configuring PLCs: Siemens, Schneider, Proface, B&R
  • Working with robotics systems, specifically Fanuc, for integration and automation of equipment
  • Collaborating with the IT department to ensure seamless equipment connectivity and data flow
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting using frequency drives (DANFOSS, SEW, SCHNEIDER) and HMIs (Proface)
  • Reading and developing schematics using SEE Electrical Expert software
  • Communicating solutions and issues to non-technical team members and proactively maintaining equipment in optimal condition

Skills and Experience of a PLC Engineer

To succeed in this role, experience with the following is essential:

  • Siemens systems: Step7, WinCC, TIA Portal
  • Schneider systems: PL7, Unity, VijeoDesigner, SoMachine
  • B&R systems: Automation Studio
  • Robotics knowledge, specifically with Fanuc systems
  • Strong understanding of safety and regulatory compliance in automation

It would be beneficial for the PLC Engineer role if you also have:

  • Proficiency in both written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to explain technical concepts
  • Reliable transportation options, as this location is accessible by car, public transport, or cycling
  • Knowledge of HMI interfaces and familiarity with Danfoss frequency drives
