We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join our client's team located in Lichfield. This is a permanent role from day one, and will be working in a friendly environment, with excellent working conditions at their facility.

The company have been operating for over 40 years, and are now a leading international supplier within their industry and markets. The company have contracts within the aerospace, automotive, building & construction, and marine industries - plus many more.

Mechanical Fitter key job details:

  • Monday toFriday, 08.00 to16:00
  • Salary: 30,000 per year + Overtime and bonus scheme
  • Permanent role direct with the company
  • On occasion, international travel can be part of the role

Mechanical Fitter key duties:

  • Assemblingand fittingbearings, shafts, and other parts to industrial/manufacturingmachinery
  • Accurately modify or adjust parts viamachining and some basic MIG welding
  • Use hand and power tools, and testand measuring instruments
  • Marking out, drilling and other remedial works
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings
  • Inspect and check fitted parts and sub-assemblies
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times

Mechanical Fitter person specification:

  • This is an ideal role a Mechanical Fitter with knowledge of hydraulics & pneumatics engineering
  • Ideally, you will holda relevant qualification/s in mechanical engineering
  • You must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • You need to have an understanding of health and safety rules and regulations
  • Holding a FLT license and banksman certificate would be advantageous but not essential.
