Production Planner

Extra Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production Planner for one of our clients based in the Staffordshire area. As a Production Planner, your role will involveplanning and controlling production schedules to ensure the successful achievement of production goals, directly reporting to the General Manager.

Production Planner Responsibilities:

Analysing the sales data and sales forecasts to create on-going production schedules

Communication of production schedules/works orders

Ensure departmental admin documentation are produced accurately and on time

Help develop and improve the scheduling of parts and material

Assist with the implementation of lean manufacturing objectives to minimise waste

Ensure stock accuracy is maintained

Production Planner Details:

Salary: 30,000 - 35,000 PA

Hours of Work: Mon-Thur 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-3.45pm

Location: Hixon

Production Planner Requirements:

Previous experience and training in a production planning role

Exceptional written and oral communication skills

Experience in lean manufacturing and six sigma highly desirable

Experience of scheduling within a production environment

Good working knowledge of Excel spread sheets and Word
