INNOVATIVE AEROSPACE PROPULSION ENGINEER - WEST MIDLANDS

Lynx is representing an engineering firm in Lichfield to recruit an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a pioneering team. Successful candidate can expect to quickly be developing next-generation propulsion systems for aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of advanced aerospace propulsion systems and components
  • Conduct detailed engineering analysis and performance optimization of new designs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer and regulatory requirements
  • Develop prototypes and oversee testing procedures for new innovations
  • Present technical designs to stakeholders and participate in design reviews
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and standards

Requirements:

  • 5+ years mechanical design experience, aerospace industry preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Expert knowledge of SolidWorks and simulation tools (FEA/CFD)
  • Strong background in thermodynamics and materials science
  • Hands-on engine/powertrain development experience
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
