Community Occupational Therapist 


Location: South Staffordshire (Lichfield)
Assignment period: Full-time
Hours: Mon – Fri, 8am – 4pm

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team, supporting adults within their own homes. The primary focus is on individuals with physical disabilities and long-term health conditions, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalised care and rehabilitation plans.
  • Provide interventions focused on promoting independence, improving functional ability, and enhancing overall wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Support service users and their families by offering education and guidance on managing conditions and daily living activities.
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise and support junior team members and students as required.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with professional and organisational standards.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) and current HCPC registration.
  • Experience in assessing and treating individuals with a wide range of physical and cognitive conditions.
  • Strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centred approach.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and service improvement.
  • Flexibility to work across various locations and a valid UK driving licence (or ability to travel across the region).
