My client is a large manufacturing organisation based in Lichfield looking for a full time Assistant buyer in the indirect team.

Description

  • Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs.
  • Monitor supplier performance and develop improvement plans.
  • Assist in negotiation of contracts with suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with company's procurement policies and procedures.
  • Help manage supplier relationships and build effective partnerships.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of procurement processes.

Profile

  • Experience in a procurement role within the industrial / manufacturing industry is ideal but not essential.
  • Experience as an Assistant Buyer.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Good understanding of supply chain processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can commute to Lichfield
