Fit Out QS/Estimator - Staffordshire

Our client is a leading shopfitting contractor dedicated to delivering high-quality, innovative, and efficient fit-out solutions for retail, commercial, and hospitality sectors. Their team is committed to exceeding client expectations through meticulous planning, expert craftsmanship, and seamless project execution.

Due to growth, our client is seeking a Fit Out Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join their experienced and growing team.

You will be required to carry out a turnkey commercial role as a member of a team taking a fast-track retail or leisure fit out project from the estimating stage, through sub-contractor procurement and cost management, to final account settlement, with full financial control throughout.

Fit Out QS/Estimator

What's in it for you?

  • Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. Typically office-based, but occasional site visits may be required.
  • Up to £67,000 (depending on experience).
  • Holiday entitlement - 22 days plus bank holidays, plus 1 additional day for your birthday. 5 days must be taken at Christmas. After 5 years of service, the holiday allowance increases by 1 day per year, up to a maximum of 5 extra days. There is also an option to purchase additional holiday days.
  • Fully expensed car including private mileage or car allowance.
  • After 12 months health Insurance worth circa £2K.
  • After 12 months you will be become a member of the Employee Ownership Scheme which comes with tax free bonus on a sliding scale based on salary/service Phone/laptop etc.
  • Pension.

Fit Out QS/Estimator

Position Overview

  • Manage fast-track retail and leisure fit-out projects from start to finish.
  • Oversee the estimating process, ensuring accurate cost assessments.
  • Handle sub-contractor procurement and manage relationships with suppliers.
  • Lead cost management throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring budgets are maintained.
  • Take full financial control of projects, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Manage the preparation and settlement of final accounts.
  • Ensure all project timelines and milestones are adhered to.
  • Collaborate with the project team to deliver high-quality, efficient outcomes.

Fit Out QS/Estimator

Position Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Fit Out Quantity Surveyor/Estimator within the retail or leisure fit-out sector.
  • Strong knowledge of estimating, cost management, and sub-contractor procurement.
  • Excellent financial management skills, with the ability to take full control of project budgets.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple fast-track projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
