Shift Pattern: 4 x days 06:00-18:00 / 3 x rest days / 4 x nights 18:00-06:00 / 5 x rest days
Duties and Tasks for the Shift Engineer:
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on machinery, robotic systems, and conveyors.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs and automated systems.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and manage spare parts inventory.
- Train production staff on machinery operation and maintenance.
The Shift Engineer
- Qualified Electrical Engineer (minimum 2 years)
- Minimum 2 years' experience of working within the Food & Drink sector
- Candidate should be electrically biased but skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines
- Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
- Experience of fault finding with industrial machinery
- Experience of interpreting both mechanical and electrical drawings
- Experience of shift working
- Served a full engineering apprenticeship and/or qualification of NVQ level 3 or equivalent
