Senior Residential Childcare Worker

We are recruiting a permanent, full time, Senior Residential Support Worker for our Children's home in Lichfield, Staffordshire. Willow House accommodates up to three children aged between 9 and 17 years.

The role of a senior support worker will involve:

  • Contributing and adhering to the young persons care plans, risk assessments and behaviour Management plan.
  • Safeguarding and helping our young people overcome any difficulties or disadvantages they have had to face whilst helping them to build resilience and skills for their future.
  • Forming positive , effective relationships with young people , their families and external agencies.
  • Ensuring the home is kept in a clean and tidy condition, adhering to the cleaning rota system, encouraging the young people to participate as appropriate.
  • Meeting the emotional and physical needs of our young people and assisting in the implementation of individual Educational programs.
  • Providing support to the House Manager of the home whilst on shift and preforming senior duties as directed.
  • Attending and contributing to meetings, such as LAC reviews, EHCP's, Team Meetings
  • Taking responsibility of the direct care of children living in the home, offering high levels of engagement for and with children and be ambitious in achieving positive outcomes for them.

About You

You will need to have

  • A desire to want to improve the lives and provide opportunities for the young people in our care.
  • Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young people’s workforce (or equivalent)
  • Experience in Childrens residential Care
