Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £417-£425 per week

ABC Teachers is looking for a passionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a highly regarded SEND school in Lichfield. This school is known for its dedication to supporting students with moderate to complex educational needs, fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment for learning.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide Tailored Support: Work one-on-one and in small nurture groups to help students thrive academically and socially.
• Encourage Engagement: Support students in engaging and participating actively during lessons.
• Foster a Positive Environment: Create a safe and welcoming atmosphere that promotes growth and learning for all students.
• Long-Term Opportunity: This role offers a long-term position, starting in January 2025.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Relevant Experience: Prior experience working with students with autism and moderate learning difficulties (MLD).
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
• Behaviour Management Expertise: Skills to create and maintain a calm and productive learning environment.
• Commitment: A dedication to supporting young people and going the extra mile for their development.
• Compliance: Ability to provide references and pass a DBS check.

*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
