An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Repair Technician to join a global manufacturer of electrical products which are supplied into the automotive industry.

The Repair Technician is responsible for supporting the workshop with electrical component repair (connectivity issues, navigation systems, radios, screen displays etc)


Candidates should have the following qualifications/ experience:

*HNC /HND in Electronics or a related discipline

*Experience of components repair

*Skills in various welding/soldering, test and software applications.

*Experience of assembly and disassembly, replacement of electrical and mechanical components.

*Knowledge and proficiency in reading technical drawings, plans, instructions, and diagrams.

*Previous electronic repair experience of (2-3 years of experience preferably, in the automotive industry), or technical education oriented towards electronics with equivalent experience

Responsibilities:

*Repair products according to the defined priorities and authorised repairs

*Identify the product fault and the associated solutions using the guidance manuals, apply the solution and ensure the repair according to the manual guidance, prepare the product for return to the customer.

*Review and verify the repair request provided by the customer, confirm the customer defect, and validate in the customer nominated portal.

*Check the product defect and decide on the liability of the defect (warranty) and the non-repairability of the product.

*Provide technical support to the customers including response via hotline, emails, etc. and attendance at mission-concession meetings.
