Business Development Executive – B2B Events - Lightwater/Hybrid – Up to £25,000 + Uncapped Commission

Hours: Monday–Thursday 9am–5pm, Friday 9am–3pm.

We’re open to candidates with experience in outbound sales, call centres, estate agency, recruitment, insurance sales, retail sales, and other target-driven environments.

We’re partnering with a dynamic B2B events business in Lightwater that has an exciting opportunity for a driven Business Development Executive to join their fantastic team. This is your chance to kick-start your career in events sales, working within a high-energy, target-driven team.

This role is focused on outbound telephone sales, reaching out to B2B clients, introducing them to international events, and booking their attendance. With full training provided, the successful candidate will have a clear progression path, offering opportunities for advanced sales roles, increased commission, and a more consultative sales approach.

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Proactively cold-calling potential clients, understanding their needs, and selling appropriately.
  • Following up on leads and building a strong sales pipeline.
  • Networking within the industry and becoming an expert in your market.
  • Attending major trade shows and exhibitions worldwide to generate leads and maintain relationships with existing clients.

  • Confidence in outbound cold-calling, building relationships, and closing sales.

  • Strong communication skills, both over email and on the phone.
