Financial Controller
Location: Lincoln
Salary:£50,000 - £75,000 per annum

Key responsibilities of the Financial Controller:
- Leadership:Manage, mentor, and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Financial Reporting:Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Strategic Contribution:Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to senior management, supporting strategic decision-making.
- Budgets & Forecasting:Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, aligning financial plans with business objectives.
- Cash Flow Management:Monitor and optimise cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure the financial health of the business.
- Internal Controls:Implement and maintain robust financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
- Taxation & Compliance:Oversee tax filings and ensure adherence to UK tax laws and reporting requirements.
- Audit Management:Coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth year-end audits.
- Ad-Hoc Projects:Support senior management with financial projects, system improvements, and business initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills for the Financial Controller:
- Professional qualification(ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) Part-qualified candidates with strong, relevant experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience in aFinancial Controllerrole or similar senior finance position.
- Strongleadership and team managementskills, with the ability to inspire and develop others.
- Excellentfinancial analysis and reportingskills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of UK tax regulations, including VAT, corporation tax, and PAYE.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
- Ambitious mindset, with the drive to grow into aFinance Directorrole.
Desirable skills for the Financial Controller:
- Experience with financial systems implementation or upgrades
- Knowledge of payroll and pension schemes
- Experience in a fast-paced or growing business environment
