Your new companyHays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting an Assistant Accountant for a 12-month temporary position for a lovely organisation in Lincolnshire.Your new roleReporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for banking and reconciliations, supplier and BACS payments, income processing, supporting with the production of monthly management accounts, nominal ledger and cashbook, control accounts and supporting with year-end. In addition, you will prepare ad hoc reports and support with budgeting and forecasting as well as business partnering with internal stakeholders across the organisation.What you'll need to succeedYou will be AAT qualified or studying for CIMA/ACCA, or have relevant experience in accounting, including nominal ledger, VAT, month-end processes, reconciliations and reporting. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be used to business partnering with finance and non-finance stakeholders at all levels. You will have good IT skills (ideally Sage) and Excel as well as excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. You will be available to start work before mid-April and be happy to work in an ongoing temporary position.
