Assistant Accountant

Location: Lincoln

Salary: £30,000 per annum & Study Support

Our clients are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant for a family-owned high growth and successful business, who strive to be industry leaders.

The Role

  • Prepare VAT returns including supporting analysis as required, and preparing accounts analysis to support corporation tax returns
  • Ensure tax deliverables are reconciled and in line with requirements and delivered on time
  • Processing cash transactions
  • Reconciling bank accounts
  • Reconciling as necessary, supplier accounts which have been paid by direct debit
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices and statements where relevant
  • Prepare regular reports on debtors, payment status and proactively chase debts
  • Play an active role in the digital transformation programme relating to accounts receivable, identifying opportunities to improve credit control processes and implement best practices

Skills and Qualifications

  • AAT qualified
  • Confident communication skills, with the ability to interact with individuals with financial and non-financial backgrounds
