Mechanical Supervisor 12 MonthsBased:  RAF ConingsbyHourly Rate: £32.00 Paye or £43.04 Umbrella inside IR3537 Hours per week  OverviewBAE Systems is seeking a skilled and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join the team working on high-performance military aircraft.  Skills 
  • In-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance documentation and toolsets (ESS, Resolve).
  • Experience with MAA regulatory requirements (KR640).
  • Proven leadership and people management skills within a maintenance environment.
  • Practical knowledge of EVM techniques and scheduled servicing activities.
  • Strong understanding of airworthiness compliance and quality assurance processes
  The Job
  • Perform and oversee complex aircraft maintenance in line with approved maintenance data and work instructions.
  • Deliver aircraft maintenance outputs in accordance with the Statement of Work, ensuring standards, quality, and schedules are achieved.
  • Maintain airworthiness through appropriate task delegation and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Supervise and manage personnel, supporting both day and night shift teams.
  • Lead and conduct Independent Inspections as directed by maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting using approved toolsets (e.g., ESS, Resolve, Open Options).
  • Provide direct support to the Team Leader and deputise in their absence.
  • Lead by example in people management, career development, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, Lean practices, and process optimisation.
  • Contribute to engineering management meetings and performance reporting.
