I'm looking for a IT Security and Data enthusiast looking to develop a worldwide security strategy for one of the UK's leading brands!Who are my client?Well, they're a massively well-recognised brand here within the UK but they're now also making great waves into the US market too. They're growing exponentially and due to sheet growth; they're embarking on a huge transformation programme across the business so naturally they need a solid, robust Security and Data Protection Strategy in place..And this is where you come in!Who are they looking for?This really is a cracking role as it is essentially a blank canvas and one of those roles you can really "make your own". Your remit will be to develop an IT Security and Data Protection Strategy to ensure sensitive information across the business is safeguarded. Alongside this, you will also recruit, train and develop your very own team of Security Analysts!This is an autonomous role within an incredibly busy and fast paced environment so you'll be expected to be on the ball at all times. You will monitor the threat landscape here - keeping informed about cyber threats and vulnerabilities, identifying Security Risks, conducting risk assessments and also develop mitigation strategies.As IT Security and Data Protection Manager you will also develop and incident response plan and lead response effects and also educate the wider business on Security awareness and training.They're growing exponentially and due to sheet growth; they're embarking on a huge transformation programme across the business - So it simply couldn't be a busier or more exciting time to join.You'll have a couple of professional certifications under your belt; CISSP, CISM, CISA or equivalent and you'll have a good handle on data protection regulations and cyber security best practice!As an individual?You will be technically inquisitive and have a genuine thirst for learning. After all, my client will encourage and support technical training/certifications in areas that excite you and will allow you to do your job better- They genuinely want to get the best out of their staff and this is what makes this company such a fabulous place to work.You'll also back yourself - in regards to your ideas and process.
