Remuneration: £28,000 - £30,000neg + up to £8,000 bonus
Benefits: Fully expensed Hyundai Car or Car Allowance & Full BenefitsThe role of the Area Sales Manager - Paint & Coatings will involve:
- Field sales role promoting our clients manufactured range of coatings / varnishes, decorative paint, specialist paints and adhesives
- All of your time will be spent selling into national paint distributors / wholesalers & decorative merchants such as; Dulux, Crown Paints & Johnsons with the occasional sale into smaller independents
- You will be targeted on retaining and looking after existing accounts as well as bringing on new accounts within your area
- Developing a solid product knowledge to enable you to offer superb advice and expertise to customers as well as product training
- 85% of your time will focus on account development, as our client is only really exploiting a small proportion of most customers’ account potential (improved point of sale, better
- 15% of your time will be new business focussed; recruiting new accounts and stimulating demand with customers displays, demonstrations etc)
- Order values can vary between £250 and £7000
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Paint & Coatings with:
- Ideally working for a retailer, merchant or wholesaler looking for 1st field sales role
- Prior sales experience selling into paint distributors, timber merchants, builders merchants, decorative merchants and independent retailers will also be considered
- Previous knowledge or experience within the decorative / paint industry is not required
- Must have a desire to learn and grow within a company
- Good numeracy skills
- Hungry to learn with an appetite to succeed
- Energy, passion and enthusiasm
- Strong commercial, networking and presentation skills
